Long-Time User Disappointed by the Redesign
"I've been using the Grossan Sinus Nasal Irrigator for over 10 years. Comparing the old model to the new one, it's obvious the redesign wasn't well thought out. In my opinion, it's a significant step backward. Here's why: **Power button:** When I hold the nozzle in my right hand, it's difficult to press the power button. The old design used a top-mounted push button that was easy to activate. The new side-mounted sliding button causes the entire unit to slide across the counter when I try to turn it on. **Flow adjustment:** The old model had a knob that was easy to adjust while using the irrigator. With the new design, making flow adjustments is awkward. Instead of adjusting the flow during use, I have to stop, make the adjustment, and start again. **Water level indicator:** I typically use about 250 mL per nostril. On the new model, the water level is difficult to see because the viewing window is located on the side of the reservoir. On the old model, it was much easier to monitor how much solution remained during use. **Tubing and flow:** The larger tubing produces a much faster flow. I actually prefer a gentler, longer rinse, and the new design doesn't provide that experience. I gave the new model two weeks of use before throwing it away. I ended up switching to the SinuPulse Elite, which has been a much better experience for me. After using the original Grossan irrigator successfully for more than a decade, I was very disappointed with this redesign. I hope the manufacturer considers bringing back some of the ergonomic features that made the original so effective."
